Shannon + Vitabot = Epic Fail.

There are hundreds of apps out there for people trying to be healthier.  They track calories, fitness, and many other things.  For Lighten Up we are charged with using Vitabot.  The program tracks not only your calorie and fat intake but focuses on total nutrition.  It makes meal suggestions based off of the nutrients you are missing and grades you on your food choices.

I put my meals in for last week and guess what? I failed, miserably.  I believe my GPA was around 1.2. I am an extremely competitive person and this was a very depressing report card.  I know that I don't eat super healthy but thought since starting Lighten Up I had gotten better.  Well, I can't even imagine what I would have scored before.  I have to remind myself that even the greatest program still doesn't know me.  I have to utilize the technology but still listen to what my body is telling me. I have to speak to the wonderful people at Lake County General Health District and discuss my personal nutrition goals and learn to incorporate those into Vitabot.  I have to not scream obscenities at my computer when I find out that I failed for the day.  Just like everything else I have to address the issue and find a way to improve.  I also need to eat more fruits and veggies, whether I like it or not.

Dear Vitabot,

I'm sorry for our fight the other day.  I should not have yelled at you for pointing out to me that I eat like crap.  It's my fault, not yours.  I know you are just trying to help and I promise I will be more cooperative going forward.

Sincerely,
Shannon

PS – Maybe you can be nice and give me a 2.0 GPA.  That would really help our relationship J
